The Journey Begins
Hi there,
Thanks for visiting! I’m so curious about this blogging world, I read a lot of them myself, often depending on them for everyday things.
I thought I would love to document my own family life and what we get up to, mainly as a timeline for what we do so the kids can have a look through when they’re older but also for anyone who may find our crazy life as a family of 6 at all interesting, that’s great too!!
A lot of the tips and tricks I look for in blogs are from those who travel with kids. We try to get away every year on holiday, I say holiday….change of scenery is probably a better term, and I’m always fascinated at how much some people seem to keep it together. I LOVE organisation – I actually start organising our holiday in January, a good six months before we actually go. And I will spend that whole six months researching, planning and gathering bits and pieces I think will be absolutely necessary for our trip. Of course, a lot of it doesn’t work out that way, and every year I’m learning.
We went to France last year by car…I was absolutely petrified! It entailed a 4 hour car – 16 hour ferry – 10 hour car journey to the south.
I needed distractions, lots & lots of distractions, especially for my youngest two who were 2 & 5 at the time.
I scrawled the internet looking for ideas, I wasn’t opposed to making some of my own things as I do quite fancy abit of crafting…I may not be great at it, but I will try my hand at pretty much anything. My ratio of confidence and talent are a solid 75:25 but that never seems to put me off!! LOL!
I made a few things such as; Quiet/Activity soft books, assorted activity pouches and that kind of thing. I’ll put the whole trip together in my next blog and maybe you might find something of use?!
Till then,
Mrs.Black
